Beware of Offshore Books

I've shared this concern before in regards to crypto.

Crypto has taken a bloodbath this month. Remember that a significant portion of Offshore money/transactions are in crypto. Even in the best of times, I thought a crypto crash would have a major ripple effect in our world of offshore sports betting... But combine the expansion of US sports betting legalization (hello NY), offshores numbers are already falling off a cliff. (I'm not speaking in theory about the impact of legalization, I've seen related numbers personally.) I would not be surprised to see a sudden crash of even the most reputable offshore books.

I am simply saying, you should be extra careful about keeping any amount of money in offshores. My advice would be to make continuous requests on even small payouts on your winnings to keep your balance as low as possible if you must play. I am not claiming that I know that a sportsbook will go down today, tomorrow or this month. But for me the writing seems to be on the wall and I just wanted to simply share my logic.

Forgot to note that I made this post because I had this thought already but I've had a red flag number of calls from different offshore books in the last week or so trying to get me to deposit.

Just be extra safe.

I want to be the first one to make a cheap joke.

So you are saying to be safe we should send our money to BAS and let him book our bets?(teasing man) ;)

Certain books could manage their $ poorly when crypto is running high and not be prepared for a downturn though

Obviously legalized betting could begin to cut in a major way (who wants to send $ to antigua if you can bet in New york?)

Definitely could be some smoke/fire but wouldn't hurt if he elaborated on what he thinks he's seen.

Why offshore? If you believe a book is reliable, the juice is less for many people in many houses. I think the -110 sucks

Having said that, places like Draftkings are continuously offering boosters which essentially reduces vig to some extent. Although many promotions are fucking stupid. I'm never going to wager something like ten $ 100 SGPs to earn a $ 75 Bonus Bet ( just one example)

I obviously like the SG profit boosts, but those are offered much less frequently than all the money grabbing poppycock

Defying is on to something. Testing a book right now with just a simple MG withdrawal.

US books are -110, you get limited fast and don't get immediate payouts. Bitcoin books reduced juice and immediate payouts.
